Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy won his third BET Award as “Best International Act” at the just concluded Black Entertainment Television awards ceremony. Burna Boy is the first Nigerian and African artist to win the award back to back three times.
The year 2021 has been massive so far for the “Ye” crooner. Earlier in the year, the singer won his first Grammy award and only received the plaque some few weeks ago.
The award which took place on the 27th of June 2021 had other top international acts in the category including Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey (UK), Youssoupha (France)
This is the third time Burna Boy will be winning the category of Best International Act at the BET Awards, with the first time being in 2019, and the second win being in 2020 during the COVID Lockdown.
